As an introduction to the workshop, a story about a girl will be read out. This girl, whose name is Nada, sets out to find the secret No Place, and believes she encounters it in different places. She finally comes upon No Place within herself.
The content of this story will then be reviewed by means of a picture card quiz, which also serves as a bridge to a discussion about Nothing, No Place and the term Nadation. Based on that discussion, pupils will finally produce artistic works.
This workshop provides pupils an opportunity to give an account of their experiences with Nothing using their own thoughts. What is important here is not that pupils reproduce the story or copy the picture cards, but to introduce them to the theme of Nothing in such a way that they succeed in expressing their own ideas. Their artistic works will not be assessed.
Duration of workshop: single session, 2 teaching units
